Its official we are.....

....the anticipation of those 4 little words.....

We Are Cable Free!!

You can get off the edge of your seat and scoot back now. I know what all you readers were thinking...those 4 words that end in BABY! For your benefit; however, maybe now that we don't have cable and we are spending more time with each other, staring into one another's eyes over dinner rather than the TV you just might get what you wish...

Anyways, I'll keep it PG...No cable has been wonderful...did I mention no internet too!! That's right, other than our cell phones at home we are cut off from society and the rest of the world. We have discussed branching out and getting the news paper...we shall see.

Now for those of you who are concerned about season 7 of American Idol I'll have you know I have thought long and hard about this...I will just have to go to my mom's to watch it or if you live near by you can invite me over and I will bring food.

We are reading more, praying more, actually doing the laundry and mopping the floors! Amazing, I know! Our toilet has never shined so bright!

So good-bye giant magnet of time wasting...you no longer have a hold on us!!

So, I'm waiting for my comment.

Sounds good to me. We don't have cable either. Not for all the same reasons as you, just because it's ridiculously expensive when you only truly watch 3 channels...the weather channel, Fox news, and the History channel. So, now Mr. Barry gets the weather on-line (we have wireless throughout the apts), we get basic news on the local channel, and as for history...we'll just have to read.

waiting for my post...mslucyP

Wow, im very impressed...in a good way. congrats on being cable free (not in a mocking way i promise)...

I just told Zach i want to be "amish" when i grow up...except i do want to have a car, blow dryer and a straightner other than that i need no other electronics (as of right now)

You should call me sometime now that you have some more free time.

Ummm, if you lived closer I'd invite you over to watch American Idol at my house . . . IF of course you made my toilets shine as bright as yours. : )

Very impressive decision. We have been without our satellite for nearly two weeks. (We moved and the wires aren't working right). Without Fox News we both were wondering why all the flags were at half-mast—so just incase you hadn't heard yet, Lady Bird Johnson died.

Ali,
You are hilarious. I clicked over from Beth's blog and read down a few posts. Thanks for cracking me up in the middle of a somewhat boring day. :) (Okay, I never thought I would admit to boredom but it's beginning to sink in as I've just moved to a new place with few friends....life will get spicy again once I MEET more people.

Leah...I'm so glad you found us. Come by and visit as often as you like! I have visited your blog several times (via Beth's blog also) however, I do not have a xanga account so I cannot leave comments. =( That will soon change...
